General window tint information

-Water

When applying window tint, due to its aggressive adhesive, water and a type of "slip" solution is required. Both are harmless. All surfaces that come in contact with the water are wiped down after a section of the glass is complete.

-Imperfections

Due to the nature of installing window film, some imperfections may be present. The cleanliness of your interior/exterior of the vehicle can play a big part in the cleanliness of the install. At SunScreenz, we want to provide the best install we can to make our customers happy. If you feel we may have missed anything or have any concerns, then please reach out to us. NOTICE: We cannot evaluate most window film issues over the phone, the vehicle must be brought in for inspection.

-Gaps

Every effort is made to get the film as close to the edge as possible. Slight gaps can occur in some cases, this allows for water used during installation to be squeegeed out, and ensures the film edges are not lifted from contact with the frame, dot matrix, or other moldings. A gap could also exist due to the type of glass or window the film is installed on.

-Dot Matrix

Some side, front or rear windows have a raised surface (solid and/or dotted) around window moldings or glass accessories. This is what is referred to as the dot matrix. It is raised from the glass and can be difficult for films to stick in between the coating due to the small raised surface of the dot matrix.

-Black Borders

Some glass is bordered with a ceramic paint without dots, this height difference can leave a white line on the outside due to the edge of the ceramic paint.

-Scratches

Any glass new or old can have light or heavy scratches on the inside or outside that can be more noticeable after tint is applied to the window.

-Cars interior and exterior

It is normal to look at any new purchase closely, especially on that changes the look of the vehicle as much as window tinting. Sometimes small defects that were already there could be noticed due to close inspection of an area of the vehicle that is not normally looked at closely. Our company is not responsible for and small flaws in the vehicles interior or exterior unless thoroughly inspected by the customer and a team member before installation begins.

-Warranty work

No warranty work will be performed without all of your original paperwork. Vehicle must be brought into the shop to have any problem areas inspected, prior to scheduling an appropriate date/time for repair. Warranty is not transferable.

-Product liability

All products are guaranteed to be as specified; all products are scratch resistant not scratch proof. Any scratches caused to the film by rolling the windows up or down after installation is not our responsibility. After we are done with the job we will offer a first time polish and inspection of our work.

-Choosing film type and shade

Our team will only suggest film type and shade you want. If you choose film that is darker than the legal limit and you receive a ticket for window tint, this is your responsibility and not ours. After the material has been cut, any changes may require additional cost, above the original price that was quoted.

-Defroster lines

When removing tint from your rear windshield we will do everything we can to save your defroster lines. We do this by using professional grade steamers to soften the glue and keep your defroster lines intact. There is still a risk even when using steamers that your defroster lines could be damaged, and we will not be responsible. Damaged defroster lines will not damage the glass, only make the defrosters INOP.
